Echolocation
Sound installation, 2-channel, 11'48", B√ľndner Kunstmuseum, 2019

The large speaker on the floor reproduces short, concise beats in an
irregular rhythm. This sound in the low frequency range, which expands
in the room, is contrasted with the human voice from the monitor
loudspeaker. The voice testifies to a physical immediacy, an (absent)
body trying to find its orientation in space. The work refers to the human
body and its conditions within socially coded and gendered spaces.
